Garnet Recycle Unit |

In Blasting Sheds, Field Blasting Yards and all other applications where the
used Garnet can be recovered, Garnet can be very successfully recycled many
times.
Garnet Recycling Systems are designed and built to reprocess used Garnet for
immediate re-use in blast sheds and field applications. The systems are of
modular design and are easily set up and relocated. Garnet Recycling Systems
produce exceptionally high quality reusable Garnet through a sequence of
screening and vacuum extraction, utilising Garnet's unique grain size and
specific gravity characteristics.
The goal of recycling is to clean the blasted abrasive so it can be used again
productively. Ensuring that the recycled abrasive (known as the "working mix")
is clean and contains abrasive particles with the appropriate size range
involves two basic operations: the removal of oversized and undersized
contaminants and the addition of virgin (make-up) abrasive. In order to
accomplish this efficiently, both the blasted and virgin makeup garnet must be
kept dry With Garnet Recycling Systems, this high efficiency natural abrasive
can be used over and over again for maximum cost saving..
Recycling provides for greatly reduced abrasive volume to be transported to and
handled on-site as well as greatly reduced abrasive disposal volume and
disposal cost of a non-hazardous abrasive.
Recycling Steps
Step 1
All coarse contaminations like stones, welding rod ends, cigarette butts,
broken glass, wood, gloves and so on are extracted by a primary grizzly Rotary
Trash Screen.
Steps 2 & 3
A fully adjustable double Fines Removal System extracts the exact amount of
ineffective fine particles less than 100 microns that are not wanted for any
particular blasting application (Typically no more than 10% of the used
abrasive is extracted here).
Step 4
The Dust Collector Module separates the ultra-fine dust from the used abrasive
and collects it into a sealed hopper for direct discharge into bulk bags for
easy and safe disposal.
Steps 5 & 6
The final cleaning stage is a micro-trash separator and final air wash. Here
paint flakes, rust particles, very small stones etc are extracted from the
used.
SYSTEM INCLUDE
* Bucket elevator
* ground level hopper
* screw conveyor
* dust collector with filter cartridge
* automatic reverse pulse cleaning system
* stand with dust receivable hopper and bottom discharge valve for easy and
safe disposal directly into bags
